Change is not automatically improvement or harm. An unrelated update does not invalidate every earlier claim.

An account concerns some bounded situation. Action, delay and events outside the observer can change it. Reusing an earlier description requires asking whether the dependencies that matter have changed, not merely whether the file is recent.
