# Correction and residue

## Small account

A repaired record is not proof of a repaired life or system.

## Expand

A correction route needs detection, access, the capacity to act and enough time to affect the target. Afterwards, some losses may remain. A changed policy can help the next case without restoring the previous one.

The operator may see a closed ticket; the affected party may still carry costs that the ticket never represented.

## Challenge

Not every correction request is sound. Erasing valid evidence can be demanded as a repair. Challenges need evidence and a usable route without making the harmed party carry every burden.

What would change in the world, what would remain, and who could check?
